A doula provides helpful information for the childbearing family and offers continuous physical, emotional, spiritual and social support from the beginning of labor until hours after the birth of the baby. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has called this type of non-medical support, "One of the most effective tools to improve labor and delivery outcomes."
My doula training along with years of experience has generously prepared me to support laboring families in a multitude of ways, and as a lifelong student, I am always seeking more opportunities to learn from other birth support experts.
What sets me apart from other doulas is my yoga experience. Since 2008, I have been sharing yoga & mindfulness with my pregnant students. I am very comfortable guiding my doula clients into a focused, meditative state through various breathing techniques and visualizations as well as offering hands-on assistance throughout every stage of labor. My intention is to be a knowledgeable, nurturing support person so that families can look back on the whole of their birth experience fondly and with gratitude.
I strongly believe that achieving desired birth outcomes is reliant on a combination of unbiased childbirth education, frequent prenatal yoga and the support of an experienced doula.
Every family deserves a doula. For this reason, my offerings below are customizable to fit your desired level of support.
I am located in Hellertown, PA and support families in-person who are planning on giving birth within a 30-mile radius of Hellertown. I also enjoy working 100% virtually which removes all travel constraints and allows me to support families wherever they live! I am never on-call for more than two families at a time and always secure a back-up doula in the event that I cannot attend your birth.

Every year, I donate a portion of my doula income to Shanti Uganda, a birthing center located in the Nsaasi Village of Uganda. This is the same center that I raised money for and physically helped build in 2010 with the non-profit organization, Off the Mat, Into the World. I plan to return to Africa with my children when they are older so they can see where my love of supporting pregnant people all began.
